The hardware basis of the Artfiles mail system is a high-performance and fully redundant computer cluster, which is also highly available in mission-critical areas. All mailboxes are stored on fail-safe RAID systems, which are also mirrored live on an independent storage system. This virtually eliminates the loss of emails due to a hardware failure.

The software basis of the Artfiles mail system is established standard software that has proven itself in mission-critical use and offers the highest possible stability and performance with a high degree of flexibility. We rely on the proven open source solution Exim for receiving and sending emails. We also rely on well-known open source programs such as Spamassassin, Amavis and Dovecot for the further processing of emails through to retrieval. This selection allows us a high degree of flexibility and the implementation of almost any conceivable solution for our customers.

Customizations and extensions developed by us ensure that the individual components of the mail system work together smoothly and offer you a high degree of individual configuration options. Thanks to continuous enhancements and adaptations, we can react quickly to new requirements and thus always offer you a state-of-the-art mail service.

The Artfiles outgoing mail servers ensure reliable delivery of your emails to your recipients. Through a variety of measures, we ensure that problems with delivery to external mail systems are detected at an early stage and circumvented if necessary. SSL support guarantees that your emails are transported securely to us.

Our mail retrieval servers support POP3 and IMAP4. Of course, SSL is also available here for the secure transport of your emails.

The Artfiles mail system is flexible and precise enough to ensure reliable delivery of incoming and outgoing emails in the vast majority of cases. In the unlikely event that a delivery does not work, we are at your disposal with our many years of experience in mail administration.
