Autonomous network

We operate an autonomous network (AS8893) and are a Local Internet Registry member of RIPE. This means that we are independent of individual carriers and can offer you the full range of options for your networks. From the individual IP to the provider-independent (PI) network block, we can connect your systems to the Internet and to various peering points.

Connection in detail

  • 100G Lumen
  • 100G Arelion (ex Telia)
  • 20G DE-CIX (Hamburg, Frankfurt)
  • 20G ECIX (Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich)
  • 10G Deutsche Telekom
  • Path Network (DDoS Protection, 12Tbps network capacity)

The technology behind it

We use hardware from Juniper for BGP routing. The uplinks are connected exclusively via fiber optic links. All central components are designed redundantly to meet our requirements for reliability and availability. It goes without saying that replacement hardware is always on site so that defective equipment can be replaced as quickly as possible.

Routing Security

In order to keep our networks stable and secure, it is necessary to implement appropriate rules and security measures. A good framework for this is provided by MANRS (Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security). We implement all of the required points in full and believe that this is an elemantarily important topic for every Internet participant. We will therefore of course continue to monitor developments and implement any necessary measures.

The internal network

In addition to Cumulus Linux and Extreme switches, we also use Juniper and Brocade routers and Linux firewall servers in the internal network. The subnets formed in this way are dynamically routed via OSPF. We can also provide you with private networks across several racks via VLANs.
The termination of your own dedicated lines and even the operation of your own dial-up or DSL connections in your rack is no problem.

DDoS protection

With our partner Path Network, we have a powerful partner to offer you optimum DDoS protection. Whether you want to protect your domains in web hosting or you need a specially protected IPv4 network for your servers, neither is a problem and we can offer you both. Path Network is represented with 12Tbps network capacity at more than 20 PoPs around the world.

IPv6 is the future, IPv4 still available

Our systems work with both IPv4 and IPv6 as standard. As a colocation customer, you can receive a /64-IPv6 network free of charge on request, but IPv4 addresses are also available until further notice. Please ask for the current prices.
