af.stack Technology

In the DCP, an af.stack account allows you to easily configure and control virtual servers. With just a few clicks, you can define the operating system, equipment and network configuration.
You can then restart, stop, delete and change the resources of your server at any time. A virtual console enables access even without access to the network.
You can also manage SSH keys for your servers and define security groups (simple firewall rules) in the DCP. This is also done with just a few clicks.
Choose from super-fast NVMe and cost-effective HDD storage space. You can back up created volumes with snapshots and create new servers from these as required.
You can choose from various pre-installed operating system images for your servers. We provide you with the most popular Linux distributions, BSDs and selected application images.
If you have created or uploaded images yourself via API access, you can of course also use these in the DCP.
By default, all af.stack servers have an internal IPv4 address and a public IPv6 address. In addition, you can provide your servers with a so-called floating IPv4 address. This also enables direct IPv4 access from the Internet and can be switched between different servers at any time.
You can create servers, volumes and networks from so-called HEAT templates without having to make settings in the DCP web interface each time. This makes it easier for you to create many servers of the same type.
The DCP gives you an overview of the costs already incurred at all times, as well as a monthly projection of the costs to be expected. This protects you from unpleasant surprises at all times.
In order to use the full functionality and all features of your af.stack account, you can activate your API access in the DCP and activate the corresponding user.
You can then also use the af.stack via the Horizon interface or via the various APIs provided by OpenStack.
Your af.stack DCP remains functional and fully compatible at all times.
