The Professional Web af.stack plan offers the perfect combination of performance, flexibility and cost efficiency. It is the entry-level plan for dedicated web hosting resources and can grow together with your requirements. You can easily and cost-effectively add CPU and RAM resources or expand your web space, even temporarily. All this takes place within the highly available environment of the af.stack: while you focus entirely on your applications, we take care of maintaining and managing your server. Of course, all features of our web hosting offering are also included with the Professional Web af.stack plan. You can find full details in the plan overview below.

Flexibly scalable performance
The performance of the Professional Web af.stack is provided and billed via a performance index. One level of the performance index corresponds to one CPU core and 2 GB of RAM. When ordering the plan via our website, you define the initial configuration of your account. For example, if you select performance index level 4, your account will be provisioned with four CPU cores and 8 GB of RAM. The performance index supports up to 48 levels, allowing you to book up to 48 CPU cores and 96 GB of RAM.

One major advantage of this setup is that you can change the booked configuration at any time via our control panel, the Artfiles DCP. But that’s not all: if desired, you can also allocate the booked resources – CPU and RAM – individually between the web server and the database server directly in the DCP. For example, with four CPU cores and 8 GB of RAM, you could assign one vCPU and 2 GB RAM to the web server, and three CPU cores and 6 GB RAM to the database server.

Hourly Scaling and Billing
As mentioned, you can adapt your account to your needs at any time. The selected performance index is billed on an hourly basis.. This allows you to handle short-term load peaks flexibly and pay only for the resources you actually need.
All booked levels are clearly displayed in the DCP and, of course, on your invoice.
