Root Server Technology

We use Dell blade servers with Intel Xeon architecture. Thanks to the shared and therefore efficient use of central components such as power supply units, ventilation and management controllers, blade servers are already very energy-efficient compared to standard rack servers.
For mass storage in our blade servers, we use energy-saving 2.5-inch hard drives and/or SSDs. We also consistently use the most efficient models for the installed processors.
The result is a system that is uncompromisingly optimized for low resource consumption without compromising on performance.

Up to 48 cores and up to 1.5 TB of RAM can now be installed in a blade server. For mass storage, up to two local 2.5-inch hard drives/SSDs with up to 4 TB capacity can be configured in RAID.

KVM access to your server as well as advanced management features are available for managing your blades. You can conveniently reset, stop and start your blades via a web interface.
The DCP also provides you with statistics on traffic and power consumption at any time.

Your blade server also gives you access to our wide range of services. Our technicians are available up to 24 hours a day to resolve issues with your server. Of course, we always keep sufficient spare parts and even complete spare blade servers in stock to get your servers back online as quickly as possible in the event of a hardware failure. Upgrades to individual components are also possible at any time by arrangement.
Our technicians are available not only to help with hardware problems, but also with questions about software and configuration.

To provide our high-performance servers with the ideal environment, we have set up a network in Hamburg that offers optimal connections within our data center as well as a fast and highly available connection to the Internet at all times.
All blades are connected to our network with 2x1 Gbit/s. If you operate several servers with us, we can provide you with a private VLAN on request, allowing you to exchange data between your servers cost-effectively.
Of course, you will also have access to our other services for your blade server, such as domain registration, backup and firewall services.
